Madhur Bhandarkar in Fashion controversy

Madhur Bhandarkar has come in a controversial situation because of his Fashion movie.
Censor Board Chief Sharmila Tagore has received a letter regarding the movie Fashion from Delhi Commission for Women known as DCW. Barkha Singh, DCW’s chairperson has signed this appealing letter that they want to see the Fashion before October 29th as it releases in the theatres on the date.
Fashion movie stars Kangana Ranaut and is co-produced by Madhur Bhandarkar. It is suspected that Kangana Ranaut’s role in Fashion is somewhat based on Geetanjali Nagpal, a former supermodel who was later found begging on the streets of Delhi. She was then brought up by the DCW.
The letter DCW is concerned about emulating Geetanjali’s character for earning money or mileage out of her life’s tragedy. Geetanajli has been well taken care of by the DCW she was been cured by the immense efforts of the DCW. Now the DCW is highly frightened that Fashion movie may unluckily affect Geetanjali’s present and future life.
The letter firmly recommends Sharmila Tagore to show the movie to DCW’s chairperson, Barkha Singh first and also some of its members prior to its release date. Further they also said that if the film makers deny to this then the film will banned immediately.
It seems someone had called Barkha Singh to report that the movie focuses on Geetanjali’s life tragedy which will be done by Kangana in the film. She also said that she has learnt this from many articles on internet too. Important thing is that Kangana herself has told this in an interview that she is playing Geetanjali in Fashion. Kangana had a strong desire to work with Madhur Bhandarkar and when Madhur came up with Fashion’s script she got very much emotionally involved in the character of Geetanjali and joined for the role quickly. But Madhur says this in a different manner. He denies that Kangana plays Geetanjali in Fashion. He also said that might be this must have assumed from the promo because there is a scene in Fashion where Kangana actually sits on the street in a thoughtful mood. Barkha Singh says that there is no reply from Madhur Bhandarkar’s side and so they will have to take an action against the film.
