Neil, Madhur at the Launch of ‘Jail’

Percept Pictures launched their latest venture, ‘Jail' at a gala event held at the Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai. The film to be directed by Madhur Bhandarkar stars Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead role. Madhur Bhandarkar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Shailendra Singh, Thadani and others were present at the event.

Imitation a best form of flattery between Jiah and Kangana

It seems that Kangana Ranaut is flattered when she learnt that Jiah Khan is hell-bent on mimicking her. Now the Kangana Ranaut-Jiah Khan face-off, which was learnt to have started a few months ago, has taken an ugly turn. It is known that Jiah has now started coping Kangana. Jiah and Kangana have a common fashion designer, Rick Roy. Some days ago, Jiah asked Rick Roy about Kangana’s outfits. She wanted to wear exactly the same outfits, which Rick designs for Kangana. At times, she even wears the outfit that Kangana has returned after wearing once. Jiah even keeps tabs on Kangana’s vital statistics, as she wants to have a figure like Kangana. Jiah’s insecurity became well known when recently her manager accused Rick of being partial to Kangana just because Kangana is Rick’s good friend. Jiah’s manager even told Rick in no uncertain terms that he should go all out to ensure that she looks extremely good always. Rick was bewildered about why Jiah’s team doubted his priorities. A few days ago, Kangana wore a gold outfit at a public function and after the function was over, Jiah asked for the same dress.
Both Jiah and Kangana took gold outfits from Rick recently, but they didn’t have an identical design. It’s just that the fabric used for both the outfits was the same.
Reportedly, the Kangana-Jiah cold war started when the former had been almost finalized for Aamir Khan’s Ghajini but was later replaced by Jiah Khan for reasons best known to the film’s unit.

Gulzar is all set to write a script for daughter Meghna

It is known that for Gulzar, his daughter Meghna is the center of his universe. When Meghna Gulzar branched out as a director with a self-written script Filhaal, Gulzar had said that let her. She needs to establish her own identity. He can't have her holding his hand all the time.
Now that Meghna is a big girl and has also proved herself with Filhaal, Gulzar is ready to co-script her next film, Milte Hain that is a romantic comedy. Sanjay Gupta, will co-produce the film in all probability, with Rahul Bose and Konkona Sen Sharma in the lead.
Sanjay said that Bosky (nickname of Meghna) directed a segment of his Dus Kahaniyaan, now he wanted her to do a full-fledged film for him. Milte Hain is a wonderful romantic comedy written by Meghna and Gulzar Saab. It's based on an English play.

Film Star is a movie that stars Mahima Chaudhary. Fed-up of the physical abuse meted out to her at the hands of her husband and her in-laws, Leela Sharma pours kerosene on her husband, Abhishek, and burns him alive. Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic fared badly

It is known that yet another big-budget film of Yash Raj Films has come a cropper. It seems that Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic has registered poor collections. The result, apparently, was a huge showdown between Aditya Chopra and Kunal Kohli on Sunday.
It appears that the two traded blame heatedly. Aditya blamed Kunal for the poor product while Kunal blamed Aditya for poor business insight. He reportedly told Aditya in no vague terms that had they sold the film to a corporate oversize, they would at least have made some table profit. Kunal also complained that Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic was not publicised well.
It was also known that the corporate giant had offered Kunal Kohli and Yash Raj Films a huge sum for this Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer. Kunal, who’s a co-producer, was very keen to sell the film, but Yash Raj Films was not interested.
The showdown was big enough. Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic has fared very badly. The opening collections in the UK are worse than that of Tashan. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic registered very good collections only on Saturday. From Monday, it started dipping. The collections must have created havoc in Yash Raj Films. Overseas, the film has done worse than Tashan. It’s a huge disappointment. Nobody expected the film to flop so badly and there were a couple of corporate companies interested in the film. If they had sold the film, the distributors would have suffered and the co-producers would have been sitting pretty.
