Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher patched up

One of most lasting friendships that broke recently has been revived again. After almost three years of a cold war involving an enormously aggressive silence from both ends, past best buddies Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor patched up in full public view, at the premiere of the Sikander's debut film Woodstock Villa on Thursday night. Psychologically charged after watching his son's debut film, Anupam said that it was very generous of Anil to come. Although he did expect him to make an appearance, he had his doubts, as they hadn't been in touch for more than three years for whatsoever reasons. It must have been noticed that during this cold war, Anupam was not seen at the premiere of Anil's daughter Sonam's debut film Saawariya or even at the premiere of Anil Kapoor's home production Gandhi My Father.
The bone of controversy between the two buddies was none other than the follower of peace himself - Mahatma Gandhi. Anupam had announced his production Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara with himself in the lead. When overnight, without being informed by his friend, Anupam heard that Anil had launched Gandhi My Father with Darshan Jariwala and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles, Anupam felt hurt and betrayed. There ended the duo's seemingly unbreakable dosti…until now. Anupam said that he had decided to invite Anil on an impulse, for son Sikander's sake. He said that he was passing by Anil's office and it struck him that he should invite him. But he didn't have his phone number since he had changed his cell phone. So he drove down to his office and invited him personally for the premiere. Anil was definitely startled but was very welcoming.

Jatin Lalit patching up their relationship

As we all know that Music director Jatin Pandit and Lalit Pandit had split a couple of years ago. It is heard that Jatin Pandit wants to patch up with his brother and put an end to the problems between them. Jatin and Lalit who are both part of the TV show Waar Parivaar, which is hosted by Urmila Matondkar, have tried to solve their differences while judging the show. Admitting that it was he who initiated the patch up, Jatin said that Urmila, who is the host of the show Waar Parivaar, told him that they should end their differences and again make the music that they used to. He told him that he is keen to patch up but he needed to speak to Lalit first. He also told that Aap hi milan karva dijiye. In fact, she helped them take the first step and Lalit and he hugged each other.
Both Jatin-Lalit started their career with Yaara Dildara in 1991 and came in the news for the super hit music of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. Later, the two went on to give music in many a hit films including Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Khamosh, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Khamoshi, Mohabbatein, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Hum Tum, Mohabbat and the recent Fanaa. However, both the brothers started having personal differences during the making of Fanaa in which they worked last together.

Third project of Aish with John Abraham gone wrong

It seems that Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan would've liked nothing better than doing films with husband Abhishek Bachchan. She has on more than one occasion, told close friends that even professionally, being paired with Abhishek is what she is most comfortable with. So when buddy Karan Johar offered Aishwarya a chance to work with Abhishek in Dostana, with the sunny beach-side atmosphere of Miami being a plus, she was all for it.
All seemed well, even though, the role required her to romance not just Abhishek, but also John Abraham, and, finally walk away with a third man! The third man is to be played by none other than Bobby Deol, who makes a surprise entry at the end of Dostana. Karan Johar said that Bobby has a very special role in the film. Special indeed, because he gets the girl from Abhishek and John!
Aishwarya refused Dostana simply because she couldn't see herself romancing three men on screen, with her married Bachchan-bahu status. Also, Dostana required her to sport a lot of beachwear. Having refused to wear beachwear in Dhoom:2 already, she didn't give a second thought to declining Dostana.
The Lucky girl to have stepped into Aishwarya's role is Priyanka Chopra. Dostana is the second film where Priyanka Chopra has benefited from Ash leaving the project, the first being Rohan Sippy's Bluff Master, in 2005. This would be Aishwarya's third project with John Abraham gone wrong.

Talking to Shilpa Shetty

Just back from Miami after shooting a song for Karan's Dostana, Shilpa's hands are full. She's all set to launch her very own version of Yoga CDs on June 6. Though her recent achievements abroad are noteworthy, a big hit in Bollywood still eludes her. She is obviously excited about her new role running her production house. She seems that it's quite a task as she works in her office with a complete corporate look, and using brains can be so taxing!

Bhansali remaking Charulata of Satyajit Ray

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has already insulted the deep feelings of Bengalis once with his overemotional version of Sharat Chandra Chatterjee's quiet classic, Devdas. Now it is heard that he is planning to remake Satyajit Ray's Charulata, starring Soumitra Chatterjee and Madhabi Mukherjee. The director registered the title of Charulata in August 2007, with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association. Bhansali has an attraction for highly emotional subjects like these and Charulata has a huge potential of being remade in today's time. Only, will he turn Soumitra Chatterjee and Madhabi Mukherjee's quiet romance into a high-pitched drama? However, there is another contender for the same subject. Amitabh Neil Ray also wants to remake Charulata and has planned to title the film, Charu: Unspoken. Ray, supposedly, wants to make a modern version of the film and wants to set the film in America. Even as Bhansali and Ray aim to remake the film, Satyajit Ray who made the film in 1964 had felt that Charulata was his best work and there was no need for him to remake the film. The film won Ray his second Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Fest in 1964. The original Charulata was based on a story written by Rabindranath Tagore and starred Bengali actors like Madhabi Mukherjee and Soumitra Chatterjee

Music Launch of Love Story 2050

The Aamir Khan and Harry Baweja war is only increasing up! While Harry Baweja intended a smashing music launch for Love Story 2050 last night, Aamir decided to match it by organizing a high profile screening of Indiana Jones which he attended with nephew Imran Khan and other invitees including director Rakyesh Mehra and Zeenat Aman.
When Baweja planned the music launch days in advance, Aamir's attendance with his nephew was a last minute plan. The Love Story 2050 music launch was to be a very big event considering that Harman Baweja was to interact with the media for the first time and the much-talked about couple, Priyanka-Harman, was to make its first appearance together.But Aamir has been going all out to promote Jane Tu Ya Jane Na and this was one such occasion where Aamir could not sit back and let Love Story 2050 take center stage. To put the media in a fix Aamir, with his co-producers PVR Cinema, decided to hold the screening of Indiana Jones where his presence with Imran would take the limelight away from Love Story's music launch. Also, the film screening was held in Goregaon to make it even more difficult for the media to attend the Love Story 2050 music launch, which was held at a suburban five star hotel.
It must be recalled that even earlier Harry Baweja had called up Aamir and requested him to postpone the release date of Jane Tu Ya Jane Na because he thought it would be in the best interest of the two debutants, Harman and Imran. But Aamir had refused.

Harman Baweja in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s next film

Shahid Kapur has smacked gold with his performance in Jab We Met and is one of the most preferred actors in Bollywood. Still, recently when Ashutosh Gowarikar approached him for the main lead in his upcoming film, Shahid ignored his calls. Ashutosh then approached and signed the other promising newcomer, Harman Baweja. After Lagaan, Swades and Jodhaa Akbar, Ashutosh was keen on making a light-hearted romantic comedy with teenagers and so he approached Shahid Kapur. However, Shahid started acting pricey and after the first meeting started ignoring Ashutosh. Ashutosh tried calling Shahid several times but was disappointed and upset with Shahid. He then went ahead and narrated the script to Harman and signed him to play the lead opposite Priyanka.

Priyanka Chopra attached to the robot of Love Story 2050

Priyanka Chopra is so attached to Love Story 2050's robot teddy Boo that nowadays she is missing him greatly after the completion of the film. Priyanka’s companion in the film is the two-feet-tall Boo, which interacts with her and also cuts vegetables and does some shopping for Priyanka. After completing the film, Piggy Chops (Priyanka Chopra is known by this name also) has grown so much attachment to the robot that she wants to keep it with her forever. Producer-director Harry Baweja explained that He wanted to incorporate a character in the film, which will take away Priyanka’s loneliness and what better than a teddy bear, which can walk, talk and emote. Considering the fact that the film is based in the year 2050, he wanted a futuristic robot that can interact with Priyanka as well as run household tasks for her. Priyanka was more than thrilled to have Boo for company. Priyanka Chopra said that she has spent such a lot of time with him during shooting that Boo has almost become her real friend. Boo is charming. It can talk, walk and cut fruits for her in the film. She wanted to take Boo home but Harryji needed him till the release of the film. Once that’s done, he surely will give it to her. She had a whale of a time shooting with Boo.

Sarkar Raj team planning a Yatra

It is being chewed that the entire team of Sarkar Raj is planning a Yatra to various cities across India from June 13, a week after its release on June 6. The Sarkar Raj yatra will be an imitation of a scene from the film. Abhishek Bachchan is taking an intense interest in the yatra and is completely involved in the planning and the route that it will take. The procession will include flag hoisters, bikers, jeeps and the Nagre family to which the Bachchans belong, in the film. However, junior Amitabh who is finding it difficult to manage time has found an innovative way to manage time. Since he is busy shooting for Dilli 6 at Madh Island morning to late evening, he catches a ferry from Madh Island to Versova on his way back every evening to avoid traffic and save almost an hour. He utilizes this one-hour to plan the yatra with his team at his own office or Ramu's office. Abhishek reaches his office by 9 pm and spends an entire hour with the team of Sarkar Raj. The yatra will cover five cities including Lucknow, Hyderabad, Indore, Delhi and Mumbai.

Saif to work with Imtiaz

It is heard that Saif Ali Khan is all set to start shooting for his film with Imtiaz Ali in London. The yet untitled film stars Deepika Padukone.
For the look test for the film, Saif wanted only his trusted hairstylist, Aalim Hakim. Apparently, he has asked for Aalim to be especially come down to London for a day for the test. Saif, it seems is very excited about the film as it will be his first as a producer. Not only is he charged up about the script but he also wants to leave no stone unturned to make it a success.
Like many of his recent films, Saif wants to try a couple of looks for the film and that's why he wants only Aalim, who has been his hairstylist for over seven years now to take the final call.
Though London is known as the hub of hairstylists, Saif still insisted on Aalim to be flown down as he has also designed Saif's look for other films like Omkara, Race and even the recent Tashan. When contacted Aalim said that Saif has called him to London, as he wants me to finalize the look for his film. I will definitely be going for the look test.
Saif is very excited about the film, as this is his first home production. Even I was more than happy to flow down to London, as it is the Mecca of hair stylists. Incidentally one of Aalim's assistant would be present throughout the making of the film in London as well.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's chemistry in Tashan might not have reacted into box-office success, but filmmakers are definitely not giving up on the pair.
The duo not only has been signed up for Karan Johar's film to be directed by Renzil D'souza, they will also be working in Ashtavinayak's next film, which will go on the floors by May 2009. Kareena is extremely comfortable working with Ashtavinayak. She is has also signed a three-film contract with them after Jab We Met.
Bebo is already working in Ashtavinayak's Golmaal Returns. Now, the production house has signed her and Saif for their next film, which is an action-comedy. It looks like this partnership works both ways - Bebo is quite fond of the production house, and even Ashtavinayak swears by her professionalism. Kareena, we hear, was keen on working with boyfriend Saif in an action-comedy after Tashan. So, when Ashtavinayak made the offer, she readily took it up. However, the director of the film is yet to be finalized.

The Unforgettable Tour accompanied by Madhuri too

It is known that The Unforgettable Tour of the Bachchans is scheduled to start from July 18. Now Madhuri has also agreed to be part of the tour. Both Madhuri and Aishwarya Rai will be seen performing on the famous 'Dola re' number from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas. After Akshay Kumar agreed to be part of the tour for some shows, Madhuri also gave her nod. Aishwarya and Abhishek have already begun rehearsing for the show and are quite excited about it. Madhuri is meanwhile rehearsing for the songs as well. Both Madhuri and Aishwarya who set the screen on fire will be seen performing for the first ever time together on stage with 'Dola re'. Madhuri will be a guest performer on the show in select cities just like Akshay Kumar. The entire Bachchan family is eager to perform on the 'Kajra re' number as well. Preity Zinta and Ritesh Deshmukh are the other performers apart from the Bachchans.

Govinda with hen on the sets of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai

Govinda’s tricks on the sets of Loot and Lucky 2 are now famous. Now it is heard about one more of his strange behaviour on the sets of Kumar Mangat's Money Hai To Honey Hai. It seems that Govinda was feeling low on a particular day while shooting for the film in Mauritius. That's when he called his astrologer in Mumbai to know more about his state of mind. The astrologer suggested that since there was Rahu kaal on him that particular day, he will have to shoot some sequence with a hen and the Rahu kaal will vanish for good from his life. How funny J.
Knowing how superstitious Govinda can be, he somehow came up with an idea to use a hen in the sequence. The production house had to arrange for a hen because of which the shooting was delayed for a couple of hours. However the poor hen was tired soon as the astrologer had asked Govinda to shoot for an entire day with the hen. That poor hen was so exhausted that it died on the sets. However, the astrologer insisted that Govinda shoot till 7 pm with the hen. So, the actor decided to shoot with the dead hen till 7 pm and even has a shot with him carrying the dead hen in his hands. Govinda stopped shooting only at 7 pm. However, everyone on the sets was wondering where they would fit that sequence, as it is not even a part of the script!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali coming up with Chenab Gandhi

Sanjay Leela Bhansali might turn things around with the help of his good friend Amitabh Bachchan in Chenab Gandhi, though he is aware of the misfortune named Saawariya. Bhansali's this film will be directed by his assistant Vibhu Puri, who worked with him in Saawariya. Here we will see Amitabh playing a relatively unsung patriotic heroes. However, we wonder how Bhansali is feeling about his Saawariya actor Ranbir Kapoor having turned him down for the same film! When contacted, Bhansali confirmed that Chenab Gandhi is a patriotic film starring Amitabh Bachchan. However, he denied that he had asked Ranbir to star in it. However, a friend of Ranbir confirmed and said that Bhansali did ask Ranbir to play a role in Chenab Gandhi. But Ranbir politely turned it down. So why did Ranbir refuse Bhansali? It seems that Chenab Gandhi is a very serious film and there is not much of romance and songs in the film. Hence, Ranbir refused. However, one of Ranbir's friends has a different tale to tell. He said that currently Ranbir has signed several films. He did not have the required dates. Ranbir would have loved to work for Bhansali again, but Bhansali's film goes on the floors around the time when his dates are locked for other assignments. Bhansali added that it was too early to talk about Chenab Gandhi in detail.

God Tussi Great Ho is a hindi film and is supposed to hit the theaters soon! God Tussi Great Ho film features Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Manisha Koirala, Priyanka Chopra and Anupam Kher.
The film is declared to release on 11th June 2008. This film is produced by Afzal Khan and is directed by Rumi Jaffery.

Riteish Deshmukh amongst big demanded actors

We all know Riteish Deshmukh who made a very humble start in Bollywood. Today he is amongst the actors in big demand. He might not be in the midst of the group of superstars who are constantly contending for the top positions of Bollywood, but Riteish surely is the best choice when it comes to the second man in films, today. The guy is never out of work and has now been approached by editor-turned-director Shirish Kunder for two films to be made under Kunder’s home banner – Shirish Kunder Film Company.
The first film is titled Tees Maar Khan and will be directed by Shirish Kunder. And what about the second film? The second film is titled Banjo Party and will only be produced by him. They were looking out for a good name that can direct the project. There were rumours that some Vikram Gupta is to direct Banjo Party. Kunder said that this is not true. They are still in the process of finalizing the cast and crew.
For the meantime when Shirish was asked about on what was happening to his ambitious project Joker for which he had approached the biggest stars of today from Shahrukh Khan to Akshay Kumar. Joker is currently on the back burner. The magnitude of the subject is such that it needs huge amounts to be spent on the pre-production and special effects. Joker is a project, which is extremely expensive by it, even before the stars step in. And our industry is so star-driven that it’s not possible to make a film like this until the stars cut their pays for the sake of good films. Aishwarya’s bonding at Cannes

Recently Aishwarya smiled at the memory of bonding with Eva Longoria, who seems to be desperate housewives. They bonded so well at Cannes that no one would think they had just met. According to Ash as Eva, Rachida Brakni (who did the unique French version of Chaos that Ash was made-up to do) and Ash got married recently; they bonded over that common factor.
She then spoke impatiently about another outstanding instant at Cannes. Jean Reno, the magnificent French actor, came up to her and said he has heard good things about her film, Pink Panther. These legendary actors are so unperturbed! They don't think twice about approaching you with a smile and kind words. That stays with you and is easier than making an effort to avoid people.
Aishwarya also told about the films she saw at Cannes. She said excitedly that she caught three-and-a-half films, including the opening movie Blindness, and the new Indiana Jones film. She could only catch half of Kung Fu Panda because she had to do some press interviews. She also saw the new Woody Allen film, Vicky Christina Barcelona. And yes, she met Woody Allen, whom she finds wonderful!
On her stunning sartorial grace on the red carpet, Aishwarya said that this time she guesses that she had more time to prepare.
While Aishwarya understands that people check out her clothes and accessories at important events, what she can't understand is why the clothes she wears at Cannes become more important than what she does at the annual event.
An exhausted and jet-lagged, Aishwarya laughed and said that she doesn't even wanted to think about what people thought of her clothes. To her, how she conducts herself at Cannes and how people react to her is far more important than what she wears. Cannes had always been a marvelous and memorable experience. And this time too, it was no different for her.

Money Hai Toh Honey Hai

It seems that Celina Jaitley’s intention is on proving her comic elegance in films.Imagine a surprise that brings a smile on our face. That’s the way Celina is headed. She has shown glimpses of good comedy in films like No Entry and Apna Sapna Money Money. She is carrying that image forward in the upcoming comedy Money Hai Toh Honey Hai with Govinda.
In fact, there is something groovy about the chemistry between Celina and Govinda. They declare themselves as ‘good friends’ even though wave backwards and forwards add their own elucidations to the expression.
Now, Celina and Govinda are teaming up again for a loving comedy called Chai Garam.
Aditya Datt who has directed failures like Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Dil Diya Hai will direct the film. Celina will reported have a meaty role in the flick. The supporting cast includes Sunil Shetty, Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav and Javed Jaffrey. The film is set to release in the coming days.

On the sets of Sarkar Raj

Abhishek Bachchan is well known for his frolics on the sets. This time it was sex that irritated on the sets of Sarkar Raj, while he was shooting for a song, ‘Jini jini si ye subah…'They were shooting in a village, Anjanpur near Hyderabad. The scene required Abhishek to lecture the villagers about a serious issue. Ram Gopal Varma, who made Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag starring Amitabh Bachchan, told Abhishek to ad lib as the genuine dialogues would be taken care of while dubbing the scrupulous scene. The director had also clearly instructed the villagers to look serious while listening to Abhishek. What followed left everyone in splits. After Ramu said 'Action', Abhishek suddenly started giving sex education to all the villagers. He not only went into the biological details of sex like, 'When the X chromosome meets the Y chromosome…’ but also went on explaining the entire process to the audience. And he just didn't stop there. He also went on explaining different sexual positions to the villagers.
All was well until the villagers, who were instructed to look serious, started laughing aloud when they finally understood what Abhishek was telling them. They all tried hard not to laugh. Ramu, who was at a distance, didn't know what was going on and why everybody was suddenly laughing when they were not supposed to. He immediately called 'Cut' and walked up to them.
Abhishek Bachchan plays Shankar in the film. When Anita Rajan (Aishwarya) CEO of an international firm, brings a power plant proposal to set up in rural Maharashtra, Shankar realises its benefits and convinces Sarkar (Amitabh). Shankar along with Anita goes to the villages to get support from the villagers.

Ramesh and Kumar Taurani of Tips decide to separate ways

After the recent success of Race, the producers of the film, Ramesh and Kumar Taurani of Tips have split. There is a buzz in the industry that the brothers have stopped working with each other professionally and are gearing up to make their individual foray in the industry.
Our source says, “Ramesh and Kumar Taurani are known to be prolific filmmakers who have made some big budget films together in the last decade. Some of their box office hits are Auzaar in 1997, Kya Kehna, Soldier, Albela, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Ishq Vishk, and the recent Race.
However, now the Taurani brothers have decided to go their own separate ways. While Kumar Taurani has already signed Vivek Oberoi for his first film, Ramesh Taurani has finalised Ranbir Kapoor for a film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
When contacted Ramesh Taurani says, “We are not going our separate ways. We are just aiming to make 4-5 films in a year and that's why we are handling films individually. However, all the films will be made under the Tips banner.”
Kumar Taurani says, “Every film will be a part of the Tips banner. We are gearing up to make 6-8 films in a year, which is not possible if both of us work on them together. Hence, Rameshji will make some films while I will make some. There is absolutely no professional rivalry between us but we also believe in doing our own things. In fact, my first independent film starring Vivek Oberoi will be rolling soon. It will be directed by Kuki Gulati who has been making music videos for us since a long time.” Kumar Taurani is not new to the experience of working solo. He has already made a small budget Punjabi film, Dil Aapne Punjab, which was a huge hit. Kumar says, “I have been toying with the idea of working on my own for some time now. Now that I have achieved success in my first independent venture, I am confident of taking on something bigger. This way, Tips will be able to make more films.”
The latest film under the Tips banner is Race, which was made on a budget over Rs 30 crore. Their prior film Naqaab was also a big budget film. Although the music division of Tips has not been as active as it used to be earlier it has been actively working on private albums. The public limited company shows the Net Current Assets at the end of financial year 2007 showed Rs 73.58 crore compared to Rs 43.53 crore at the end of 2006. The current market price of the company’s share at the BSE is Rs 55.
Even if the brothers have decided to go their separate ways professionally, we do hope that they haven’t split personally as the rumours suggest.

Hijack movie coming soon

Hijack movie of Shiney Ahuja will hit the theatres soon. Hijack is an action thriller movie that revolves around Shiney Ahuja in the role of Vikram Madan. Vikram Madan is shown as a ground maintenance officer at Chandigarh. The plane in which his daughter was traveling to Amritsar from Delhi is hijacked. Six terrorists take over the control of the plane, as they wanted to release Maqsood who had been captured by the Indian police.

Movie Preview of Mehbooba: Shravan Dhariwal (Sanjay Dutt) from New York, which is a city of affluences and grandeurs…an ideal place for the handsome, successful and very rich business tycoon. Shravan has everything one can dream of having and what he doesn’t have, he can buy it. A winner all the way with a resentful lifestyle makes him the most suitable bachelor around. He loves being in the company of gorgeous and attractive women. His attraction and money gets him any beauty he wishes till he meets Manisha Koirala named asVarsha in the movie.

Varsha is an Indian girl who values self-respect and principles much above the money and glamour of America. She is the first girl in Shravan’s life who says no to his advances. Shravan is not a guy who would take NO for an answer and starts gifting Varsha with presents and gifts that she keeps refusing, which are then followed by costlier gifts. Unmoved by the money being showered on her, Varsha insults Shravan in front of a few thousand people which comes as a shake to him.

For the first time in his life Shravan wakes up to the fact and is made to understand that like everything else, women are not commodities that he can buy by showering gifts on them. He recognizes his mistake and apologizes to Varsha asking for her forgiveness. To make compensations for his errors, he goes to meet Varsha’s father and express his love and respect for her. He asks for Varsha’s hand in marriage. Varsha’s father convinces her that he is a changed man now and genuinely loves her. After much consideration, Varsha agrees and they get engaged. They take off on a holiday and their romantic stopover ends in lovemaking.

Varsha’s beautiful dream comes to a shocking end when Shravan tells her that his love for her was just a drama to get engaged so he could sleep with her — ‘Every woman has a price tag, some sleep for money and some fools like you for the promise of marriage’. Heart broken and shattered, Varsha’s whole world collapses around her. She leaves the country and goes as far away as possible from Shravan Dhariwal to start a new life.

Shravan is called upon to his hometown in India by his Maasa (Reema Lagoo), as his younger brother Karan (Ajay Devgan) has decided to get married. Karan settled in Europe, is in complete contrast to his brother. They are like two sides of a coin, emotionally attached but poles apart. Conspired as to whom his brother is so obsessed by, Shravan keeps annoying his brother to tell him more about the love of his life. Karan describes Payal as an angel, a goddess he is madly in love with. She was a girl with amazing charm and beauty like none other. It’s practically impossible for him to stop praising her. As the marriage day arrives closer, Payal arrives from Europe. Shravan meet Payal. Payal is none other than Varsha.

It seems John Abraham has turned producer, He is also ready with his first music album, Koi Aane Wala Hai. Incidentally, he has also appeared in the first music video of the album. His production company is called John Abraham Entertainment Pvt Ltd. This is his first step into production and. Supposedly he is all set to soon start producing films also.
John wanted to start a production company for some time now. He has launched his company John Abraham Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. After the album, John is in the process of tying up with a corporate house to make films as well. John enjoys a good will in the industry and has many friends as well.
Speaking about the album that John has produced with Pakistani band Strings, singer Faisal of Strings said that they frequently come to Mumbai for their concerts.
They have struck a good friendship with John from the time they did the Zinda song with him. This time round, when they were coming for their meeting with Sony, they met John for dinner.
Obviously he wanted to hear the song and loved it. Bilal thought about the concept of an angel and all agreed that John has to be the angel in the song.
He further said that since they needed someone who was a saleable star and also must help them in distributing their music. That's when John came in the picture. They alls seem to be very excited to work again after Zinda.

Katrina Kaif’s new passion – Fashion!

It seems that Katrina Kaif has found a new enthusiasm, fashion. And she has taken this style away from herself. She will be now controling the styling and look of the cast members of her upcoming film, Ajab Pyaar Ki Gajab Kahani. That includes her hero, Ranbir Kapoor also.
If we remember Katrina designed her look in Race and settled with nothing less than a Jenny Packham, which cost Rs 8 lakh, which she picked up from UK, just for a song in Race. For Namastey London, she had stuffed her closet with several Armani garments.

Katrina is taking personal interest in the look of the characters including hers and Ranbir’s. She’s been minutely detailing and designing, as well as considering different brands. Though they have designers on board, Katrina will take the final call on the styling. Katrina had a few meetings with the designers to decide the final looks of the characters. She gives tips, bounces off new ideas and has been supervising the entire process for styling and designing, personally.

Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja in Love Story 2050

On-screen pairing of Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja has caught the attention of a lot of people, including director Ashutosh Gowarikar. We hear that the real-life couple is in sophisticated talks with the director for his next film, which is apparently based on an English play.
While Priyanka and Harman look great together, we will have to wait to see if it converts to an equally good chemistry in Love Story 2050 also.
It was heard that both Priyanka and Harman liked their roles in Gowarikar’s new film. As things stand now, there is no reason for the cast to be changed.
The murmur is that Gowarikar has bought the rights of the English play.
Priyanka and Harman’s Love Story 2050 is all set to hit the theatres on July 4. It is a revolutionary love story and Harry Baweja has gone all the way to make his son Harman’s debut film look as polished as possible with impressive SFX. Recently, Priyanka was shooting in Miami for Karan Johar's Dostana, which is directed by a newcomer director Tarun Mansukhani. But she made it a point to fly down to Mumbai for the music release of Love Story 2050.

Saif in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic

Some days ago back, Kunal comforted down distressed Saif Ali Khan when he was carrying out some collage of his upcoming film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic with the actor.
The related shoot in question was taking place at Malad, where Saif did not look like his normal cheerful self. Kunal’s logic was that Saif was morose because his last film Tashan, which charged miserably at the box office. Kunal went up to Saif and invited him to have a look at Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, to make him feel better.
It seems that Kunal is in no doubt of Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, and he had no uncertainties about welcoming Saif for the screening. Kunal hadn't even edited Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and additionally, it had no background music even. If an actor sees an unedited version, he can suggest changes. Yet, Kunal calmly went ahead with the special screening only to ease Saif's tension. The screening took place at Yash Raj Film Studios, where Kareena joined Saif to see the film.
Saif asked Kunal how he would manage to show him the film, as Yash Raj Films does not show the unedited version of a film to its actors. Since Kunal is co-producing Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, he had the right to show the film. So, it was not a difficult task. He even showed it to Rani. She is the heroine of the film. He couldn’t have different benchmarks for the lead actors of his film

Kunal also said that Saif was upset about Tashan not doing well. Truthfully, he knows him so well that he doesn't have to actually say everything to him. He knows him from the days of Hum Tum and they were very good friends. Saif didn’t have to literally say that he was upset about Tashan. His body language said it all.
Upon asking what were Saif and Rani’s comments after seeing the film, Kunal said that both of them loved it. After that, Saif left for a holiday in London in a relaxed framed of mind. Saif will be back for a two-day promotional activity of his film, after which he will go back to London for his holiday.

Shahrukh smoking in Wankhede Stadium

Anbumani Ramadoss wil get more reason to rage against celebrities smoking in public places. But a stressed Shahrukh Khan was not having worried less about the Union Health Minister's feelings on Friday evening. He had enough of his own as, one after the other, the batsmen of his IPL team Kolkata Knightriders made a quick exit from the crease at a crowded Wankhede stadium and were bagged out for the lowest total yet in the tournament.
From the start, it seemed as if only one team was celebrating, and after Salman Butt, Aakash Chopra and David Hussey were out in rapid series, nervous SRK surreptitiously lit his first cigarette to avoid being shattered by the paparazzi.
Barely had he finished smoking his first cigarette, when Mohd Hafeez was caught, forcing him to light another one, and as Wriddhiman Saha was hacked into Tendulkar's hands, SRK was anxious enough to pull one more out of the bag. The only hope left was Ganguly. But when he too notched to the keeper, SRK perhaps knew his team had little chance. So cigarette number four came out and was smoked in full public view. SRK, clearly, was more worried about his team than about Mr Ramadoss's thoughts.

Darsheel Safary studying hard

Taare Zameen Par boy, Darsheel Safary is seen nowhere in the industry. Recently it is heard that the only reason we aren’t seeing any more of Darsheel Safary on the silver screen is the condition his father has set for him. Darsheel is not permitted to follow acting, until and unless he improves his academic performance.
He is a student of Green Lawns and for him it is academics first and acting later. After doing a critically acclaimed role in Taare Zameen Par, Darsheel seemed to have refused all banners, big or small and he said that he wouldn’t be acting in films anymore.
It is known that Darsheel is presently in Switzerland, holidaying with his family. His father, Mitesh Safary, confirmed the news saying that it is true that Darsheel will not sign any more films, as his studies need his strict attention at this point of time. There was a time when he was a brilliant student, but his results have now dropped to just above average.
When asked that such a decision would take a brilliant actor away from the industry, Darsheel’s father replied that Darsheel sure is extremely keen on doing more films but as parents, they have to keep a track. He will get a lot of credit if his films do well, but for every wrong choice taken, the blame will be on them.
Darsheel’s father further reasoned that seeing Darsheel’s enthusiasm to pursue films, they would definitely consider the options. But they have told him that only if his weekly test grades are very good, they shall consider the options.
A huge offer opposite Sanjay Dutt is not the only one Darsheel turned down. His father acknowledges the offers and questions raised about when Darsheel will do his next film and says, “There is no answer to it yet, until he proves himself. The offers will have to hold back, until Darsheel proves himself in academics.”

Shantipriya in Mata Vaishnav Devi

We have heard about Shantipriya, who made her debut in Saugandh opposite Akshay Kumar in the early '90s. Later on she was seen in films like Ikke Pe Ikka, Phool Aur Angaar and Mere Sajana Saath Nibhana. She will now making her television debut. She will now be seen in Mata Vaishnav Devi as the Goddess.
The actress narrated that it was in the midst of the film shoot with Sippy that she got a call from the production house. She was surprised at their call. However, when the story was narrated to him, she did not think twice before signing up for the show.
When asked what made her do a mythology, she said that she was very excited as she will not essay the character of Mata Vaishnav Devi but also her many avatars in the same show. She was kicked about portraying characters in the age group of 18-70 that too in the same show. She has just started shooting for the show and she is keen to see how it shapes up.
Shantipriya also clarified that she has always been around to take up interesting projects in Mumbai. She doesn't know why people have the misconception that she is based down South. She is actually based in Mumbai and have always been available for interesting projects.

Aishwarya Rai’s expensive glares for Sarkar Raj

No matter whatever Aishwarya Rai does, she does with an attitude. It is heard that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has made the Sarkar Raj producers poorer by Rs 10 lakh. It seems that Ash had selected designer glasses that made a big hole in the producer’s pocket. The price tag left the production houses, K Sera Sera and Z Picture Company, stumbling.
Ash plays the role of Anita Rajan who is an antagonistic and determined business magnate. She is the CEO of a power plant. Producers gave Ash a pair of designer glares as part of her look in the film. But she didn't like them much and told us that she would get a pair for herself.
Ash wouldn't settle for anything regular. Ash finally selected a pair of Gucci glares from Harrods when she was in London. The glares do make a style statement as far as her look in the film is concerned, but imagine spending Rs 10 lakh just for that, and then sending the bill to the production house!

Woodstock Villa releases on May 30th

It is known that Woodstock Villa is supposed to release on May 30. But it seems that there are some problems in this launch. Sikander's mother Kirron Kher seems to have put her foot down. She has refused to allow her son to debut in a carelessly made film, where neither the story came through, nor the suspense. She asked producer Sanjay Gupta to shoot the film again!!!
Gupta who took this in an appreciating sense re shot the entire film, except for the six songs, which he had already shot earlier. The entire raw stock shot by Mehta was neglected.
When Hansal Mehta was questioned about this he replied that he has directed the film and when it is said that it has been re shot by Gupta, it sounds comic. But still he refused to elaborate on the matter.
In the interim, it seems the leading lady of the film, Neha Oberoi, too has been at the receiving end of some grievances. After her father Dharam Oberoi left White Feather Films, along with Sanjay Dutt, Gupta did hold her as the leading lady, but it appears that he got her voice dubbed. Gupta declare that debutante actresses should feel they've got Lucky if their voice is dubbed in their first few films. See where it has got Katrina Kaif!!!

Dhoom Dadakka releasing on May 23rd

As we all know that Eros International will release Shashi Ranjan's Dhoom Dadakka worldwide on May 23rd. Dhoom Dadakka is being produced and directed by Shashi Ranjan. Dhoom Dadakka is a racy comic film, which has a total of 14 actors. The film’s story line is as such about a don who hunt’s for his inheritor. Anupam Kher plays the don called Mungilal. The movie is shot mostly at the island city of Bangkok.
Comic stars Satish Shah and Satish Kaushik star in the film along with Anupam Kher. Besides the excellent trio, the film has mint-fresh young leads in Shaad Randhawa, Aarti Chabria, Sammir Dattani and Shama Sikandar. Comical support is provided by Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff, Deep Shikha, Razzak Khan, Bhawana Balsavar, Bobby Darling and Zac, a young actor selected from an extensive Talent-hunt in Pakistan.
Music Director, Roop Kumar Rathod, has composed the music of the film. There is an item number performed by Aarti, which is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, a rollicking Punjabi flavored title track "Aashikan di Balle Balle" by Daler Mehndi and Jaspinder Narula.

Sachin Tendulkar Met Khali

Recently we heard that Shahrukh Khan has invited Khali for dinner at he’s Mannat. Shahrukh’s kids are huge fans of Khali and so he invited him at his place. Also he arranged a jet for Khali to fly Kolkata to join the Knight Riders for their match on May 18.

Now, it is being known that Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Anjali and his two kids Sara and Arjun walked into Oberoi Towers on Saturday evening to meet Khali. It is heard that Sara and Arjun’s friends also accompanied Tendulkar family.

Sachin and Khali’s friendship began only some days ago when two of them met at a hotel in Delhi where Sachin had gone to receive his Padma Vibhushan Award. When they met Khali, he was keen to have updates on cricket. He also asked Sachin how he manages to move out in public. It seems Khali is having problems in moving out in public.
Anjali also said that Khali was very kind to invite them to his room. They had some snacks with him.

What did they talk about? Anjali revealed that the kids spoke to Khali at length. They wanted to know who won such-and-such match on the WWE wrestling scene and Khali patiently answered all their queries. The kids were fascinated with his size and they asked him about that too.
It seems hear that Tendulkar has also invited Khali to watch a T20 match during his stay in the country.

Rajnikanth came to Mallika Sherawat's aid

Lately, Mallika Sherawat faced the anger of Hindu Makkal Katchi, a Hindu political outfit in Chennai for making an emergence in illuminating clothes at the music premiere of her film, Dasavatharam in Nehru Stadium, on April 25.

An activist from the political outfit, Kanirajan filed a complaint against Mallika saying that she hurt the sentiments of the Tamil people and their culture by wearing a dress that was too short by their standards.

He also pointed to her about sitting cross-legged in the presence of the chief minister.
But the southern star, Rajnikanth interfered and tried to settle matters. Rajnikanth played the good colonizer and solved the problem.

Rajni, who is known to help people when needed, personally called the organization and told them that it was not fair on Mallika especially since she was a guest of the state."
At his command, the organization took back the complaint. A close friend of Mallika said that Mallika had no clue about the complaint until she was informed by one of her close aides. Now, the only thing she knows is that the matter is over

Irrfan as Billoo Barber in Billoo Barber!!!

It is heard that Irrfan Khan is very much excited about the role he is playing in Priyadarshan's upcoming movie Billoo Barber, which is produced by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment, He is playing the title role in Billoo Barber.
Irrfan Khan is the first Indian actor to actually learn the art of hair cutting. Especially hair cutting and not hair-styling!
Irrfan said that he doesn’t want to learn the barber's art at some posh salon in a 7-star hotel. That kind of hair cutting he already knows. He’s done it to his kids.
A genuine barber holds the scissors and the customer's hair in a particular manner. He is actually going to sit with a roadside barber and observe him at work.

He is going to cut Shahrukh Khan’s hair, as he is his co-star in Billoo Barber.
Irrfan is hugely kicked about his 'co-star' and he has much to learn from him.

Irrfan said that Shahrukh is a real sport. He told him that he’d dance in the film, while Irrfan does the acting. He's so comfortable in his space and that's what he wanted to learn from him. That's the only plan he has for his career.
What really drew Irrfan to Priyadarshan was his film Kanjeevaram. He has been doing a slew of comedies because the market demanded that. Billoo Barber will take him into a different league. It's a very moving story. Multipurpose that he is, Irrfan may just direct a film soon. He will direct a film only if he finds a story so compelling that he wants to share it with the audience. It may come very soon.

Om Puri set to do West Is West

We all know Om Puri very well. He is our most internationally engaged actor and is all set to do another international film after Mike Nichol's Charlie Wilson's War. It's a continuation to one of his most successful international films, East Is East.
Almost a decade later, while that film was set in London and showed him and his screen-wife Linda Bassett trying to manage with a household of hybridized Pak-British children, the sequel, West Is West moves to Pakistan and a different enriching susceptibility. However, the film will not be shot in Pakistan because the producers will not get the permission. He also said that they would shoot West Is West either in India or Morocco.
This time the hero, George Khan (Puri) will take his two sons to Pakistan. George's family in London has already been tattered apart.
The children have gone. Only two sons remain. So he decided to take them to Pakistan. The elder one went to get married and the youngest to earn some taalim in his familial land. While Damien O’Donnell directed East Is East, the sequel, which begins, shooting early next year, will have an Indian director. The producers suggested Mani Ratnam but he felt that he makes serious films and may miss the satirical thrust, so he suggested Farhan Akhtar instead. In fact, he has sent Farhan the script and he seems interested. All they need to do is to work out the schedule to his convenience.

Sarkar Raj of Ram Gopal Varma

Sarkar Raj of Ram Gopal Varma has been caught up in arguments right from its commencement. The story of Sarkar Raj is based on the Enron issue and the Nagre family (Amitabh's family in the film) is said to be inspired by Bal Thackeray's family. In fact Ramu had even gone on record to say that Bal Thackeray has inspired Amitabh’s character.
Now there are some reports that one of the key characters in the film is modeled after Raj Thackeray. TV actor Rajesh Shringarpure plays the character and he plays a flaming politician in the film that is against the Nagre family. It seems his mannerisms; his look and the aggressiveness have been modeled after Raj.
Rajesh Shringarpure denied that he plays a character similar to Raj. He said that his character is called Sanjay Somji and he is fiery and ambitious, he tries to get his foothold in politics. However, he is not supposed to give any more details about his character in the film. The audiences can judge if his character is close to any real life person or a fictitious one.
When probed further, he also said that when he met RGV, he never told him that his character was based on anyone. In the film, he is not related to the Nagre family, though his grandfather (played by Dilip Prabhavalkar) was Nagre's guru in politics. His character is very intense and yes, it has problems with the Nagre family.
However it is also rumored that just like Raj has problems with Uddhav, even Somji's character has differences with Abhishek's character of Shankar in the film. However, Rajesh refused to reveal more.

Shahrukh invited WWE champion Khali for dinner

It is heard that Shahrukh Khan has invited the Great Khali who is a well-known WWE Champion for dinner at Mannat. Shahrukh’s kids Aryan and Suhana are huge fans of the wrestler. Shahrukh has even organized a private jet for Khali to fly Kolkata to join the Knight Riders for their match on May 18.
It seems Shahrukh fulfills every wish of his son Aryan and daughter Suhana. It looks like he certainly made this wish of theirs come true. Not only did he personally invite Khali for lunch at home, but also he wants to share his latest passion, Cricket and the IPL, with him. SRK has invited Khali for lunch with his family at Mannat. His kids are big fans of the wrestler.
Khali will be shooting a crucial action sequence of the film Rama - The Savior before flying off to Kolkata.
It is heard that they had agreed to part ways with Khali but given his importance in their story, they had a mutual settlement.
Sahil Khan and Tanushree Dutta also insisted on a new deal with the wrestler, keeping in mind Khali's popularity with the masses.

Shefali Shah celebrating her success

Recently Vipul Shah threw a party at a suburban nightclub on Wednesday night to celebrate the success of his wife Shefali Shah, who received two awards for best actress. Shefali Shah’s one of the awards was a popular award while the other was at the Tokyo Film Festival. The entire Bollywood brigade was there to wish Shefali on her success.
Shefali and Vipul played the wonderful hosts and made sure all the guests received personal attention. Although, Akshay Kumar could not make it to the event, wife Twinkle Khanna attended the event by making a grand entry in a dazzling red dress. A hugely pregnant Gayatri Joshi walked in with husband Vicky Oberoi. Katrina (Nanhe Jaisalmer), who came wearing a little black dress, rushed to meet Twinkle the moment she entered. The two hugged each other like old friends. Shefali was seen holding court with her gang of girls and after a while they hit the dance floor. Actress Kiron Kher, politician Baba Siddiqui and Sharman Joshi also attended the event.
The party looked like a director’s get together with all big directors including Ashutosh Gowarikar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Kunal Kohli, Firoz Abbas Khan Sanjay Kandhori, Sourabh Shukla, Abbas-Mustan, Ashoke Pandit, Sanjay Gadhvi, Imtiaz Ali, David Dhawan, Neeraj Vora, JD Majethia and Anees Bazmee in attendance. Producers Ratan Jain, Ramesh Taurani, Manmohan Shetty, Sajid Nadiadwala and Rakesh Upadhyay were also present.

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Love Story 2050 releasing on the same date

It seems Aamir Khan is not ready to make any changes in his nephew Imran Khan's debut film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na even if it is his old friend Harry Baweja who is making the request for a change.
Harry had asked Aamir to adjourn the release date of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na as it coincides with that of the release of his own son Harman's debut film Love Story 2050. The Harman - Priyanka starrer is also scheduled to release on June 4.
Baweja, who is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Harman enters Bollywood with a bang, is quite agitated about this clash of dates. He felt it would only be unfair if the two newcomers were pitted against each other on their first film itself.
So, he thought that requesting Aamir, who is an old friend, would solve matters. Aamir however, was in no mood to make a compromise even with something as small as a release date.
Harry Baweja knows Aamir very well. He approached Aamir and told him that it would be unfair to both the newcomers if their debut films were both released on the same day. It would result in unfair comparisons between them. But Aamir simply refused to make any changes as he has been planning out all details of the film's release over the last few weeks.
Confirms a source from Aamir Khan Productions, "Aamir has made a lot of preparations with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. He is even more engrossed in planning the film's release, as he is not shooting for Ghajini right now."

We hear that Imran's next film Kidnap, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and will be directed by Sanjay Ghadvi is releasing in August. So, Aamir couldn't possibly release both of Imran's films back to back. No wonder his friend's request had to be put on a hold.
The source says, "This is Aamir Khan Production's third film. A similar situation took place with Lagaan and Taare Zameen Par, which were both released on the same date as Gadar - Ek Prem Katha and Welcome. However, both of these films were very successful."
No wonder, Aamir is not at all worried about Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na being released on the same day as Harry's big budget Love story 2050. We can't wait to see who wins the race this time.

Amitabh Bachchan’s desire to work!!!

As we know that recently Amitabh Bachchan suffered from an injury on the sets of Alladin. Till now he is on a heavy medication and not exactly at his healthiest best. But still the actor constantly spent around six honours generously giving interviews to the media and also promoting his upcoming movie, Bhoothnath. Bhoothnath will hit the floors on 9^th of May.

Bachchan was questioned about his health and was asked that from where does he get the energy and spirit? He replied saying that it’s just the desire to work. He also said that lots of things are done for his health and energy. He said that he feels that he needs to be physically fit to be able to live up to his directors and producers demands and so there is a conscious effort from his side to keep himself healthy and presentable. According to him cinema is all about how one’s face looks and how he speaks.

So if your face is fine and if the voice is fine and if your activities are fine, you have a job otherwise you lose it is Amitabh Bachchan’s Mantra!!!!
